Privacy Policy
Launch Streak (“Launch Streak,” “we,” “us”) is a daily directory where makers launch their tools and build a streak. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it plain: we collect the minimum we need to run the product, and we don’t sell your data.
1. Information we collect
- Account details. When you sign in, we store your email address. If you use Google sign-in, we also receive your name and profile photo from Google.
- Profile. A display name, an @handle, and an optional avatar you set during onboarding — these are shown publicly on your launches and comments.
- Content you submit. Launches (name, tagline, URL, description), comments, and any links you add.
- Payments. If you buy a paid listing, badge, or sponsor slot, payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — only a payment reference, amount, and status.
- Technical data. Basic request and device information (such as IP address and browser) needed to serve the site securely and prevent abuse.
2. How we use your information
- To authenticate you and keep you signed in.
- To publish your launches, profile, and comments.
- To process payments and send transactional emails (magic links, receipts, sponsor reminders).
- To operate, secure, and improve the product, and to prevent spam and abuse.
We rely on your consent (when you sign in and submit content) and our legitimate interest in running a safe, working service. We do not use your data for advertising profiling, and we do not sell it.
3. Cookies & sessions
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in (your authentication session). We don’t use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Clearing these cookies signs you out.
4. Service providers we share with
We use a handful of trusted processors to run Launch Streak. They only receive what they need:
- Supabase — authentication and database (stores your account, profile, and content).
- Google — only if you choose Google sign-in.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
Each provider processes data under its own privacy terms. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
5. Data retention
We keep your account and content while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your profile and associated content, except where we must retain limited records (for example, payment records for tax and accounting).
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can edit your profile in-app, and you can request access or deletion by emailing us. We’ll respond within a reasonable time.
7. Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and access is protected by row-level security and scoped credentials. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information and limit who can access it.
8. Children
Launch Streak isn’t directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we’ll delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
