Long agent runs die when your Mac goes to sleep, but leaving it awake all day wastes power. Vigil is a native macOS menu bar app that listens to your coding agents' own lifecycle hooks and holds off idle sleep only while an agent is actually working. When the work finishes, fails, waits on you past a grace period, or the agent quits, Vigil lets your Mac sleep again.
A pill at the notch shows what each agent is doing. It works with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, Copilot CLI, pi and OpenCode. Hooks discard prompts, messages and tool output, and the app has no analytics. Vigil needs macOS 14 or later and costs $3.99 once for two Macs, with a 30-day refund.
